Drone cleaning in Pattaya, Chonburi and the Eastern Economic Corridor

Two very different jobs in one region: the industrial estates of Chonburi and Rayong, with their metal roofs and rooftop solar, and the seafront hotels and condominiums of Pattaya and Jomtien. The drone is useful for both, for different reasons.

Factories, warehouses and rooftop solar

The industrial estates between Laem Chabang, Si Racha, Amata and Map Ta Phut hold thousands of large metal roofs, and a growing number of them carry solar panels. Dust from traffic and production, bird droppings and algae settle on both. Panels lose output, roofs stain and gutters block.

Cleaning them by hand means roof walkways, harness lines, and people on fragile sheets or on panels that must not be stepped on. A tethered drone cleans a metal roof or a PV array from above, with purified water and no contact, and the operator stays on the ground. Production does not stop.

  • Metal sheet and standing-seam roofs, skylights, gutters
  • Rooftop PV arrays and solar carports, no detergent, no weight on modules
  • Cladding and façades of logistics buildings and showrooms
  • Early-morning slots when panels are cool and car parks are empty

Pattaya and Jomtien: seafront glass

Pattaya's hotels and condominium towers face the sea and the wind. Salt and sand stick to glass balconies and curtain walls, and the shaded sides go green with algae. Gondolas are rare on older towers, and rope access teams spend days in front of occupied rooms.

A drone cleans a seafront façade in a few hours from a closed section of the pool deck or car park, before guests come down. For buildings with a gondola, the drone adds the surfaces the cradle does not reach: podiums, canopies, set-backs.

Airspace on the Eastern Seaboard

U-Tapao airport lies between Pattaya and Rayong, and the 9 km rule applies around it. Most of Pattaya itself, Si Racha, Laem Chabang and the Amata estates are outside that circle, but industrial estates often have their own restrictions and security rules, and flights near people and buildings still need the standard permissions. We check each address in the remote assessment.

We have not flown on the Eastern Seaboard yet. Registrations, insurance and permissions will be in place before the first job. Details on the compliance page.

Eastern Seaboard questions

Can you clean solar panels while the plant is running?

Yes. Purified water, low pressure, no contact. We follow the panel manufacturer's cleaning guidelines and work early in the morning when modules are cool.

Do you need to enter the factory?

We need a take-off area, a water point and a power supply, usually in a yard or car park. We follow the site's safety induction and permit-to-work process.

How big a roof can you do in a day?

On suitable surfaces, 500 to 800 m² per hour. A full day on a large roof is realistic, weather allowing. Set-up and moves between buildings come on top.

Have a building in Thailand that is hard to clean?

Send us a few photos, the address and the approximate height. We will tell you honestly whether a drone, a water-fed pole or a platform is the right tool, and whether your site could join the pilot program.
