Roof and solar panel cleaning by drone

Walking on an old tile roof or a fragile solar array is how roofs get broken and people get hurt. A drone treats and rinses from above, the team stays on the ground, and nothing is stepped on.

Roofs: treat the roots, not just the surface

Moss, lichen and black algae hold water against tiles and metal, block gutters and age the roof. High-pressure washing removes what you see but damages tiles and leaves the roots, so it all grows back.

We work the other way. The drone sprays a slow-acting biocide or enzymatic treatment over the whole roof. The product keeps working for weeks, and rain rinses away the dead growth. When the client wants an immediate result, we follow with a low-pressure rinse.

  • Clay and concrete tiles, slate, metal sheet and standing seam
  • Gutters, canopies, porches and covered walkways
  • Treatment chosen for the material and the surroundings, applied according to the label
  • No one on the roof, no broken tiles

Solar panels: dust costs production

Dust, pollen, bird droppings and soot settle on panels and cut the light reaching the cells. Panels on low-pitch roofs and carports do not self-clean well in the rain, and walking on them can crack cells or void warranties.

Our drone cleans with purified water at low pressure, without detergent and without contact. It works over large arrays on warehouse and factory roofs, carport canopies and hotel roofs, and it never puts weight on the modules.

Thailand has a growing number of rooftop installations on industrial buildings. For many of them, a drone is the only way to clean without scaffolding or roof walkways. We plan cleaning early in the morning when panels are cool.

Typical Thai sites

Factories and warehouses

Large metal roofs and rooftop solar arrays on industrial estates, cleaned without stopping production.

Hotels and resorts

Tiled and pitched roofs on villas and pavilions, where algae grows fast in shade and humidity.

Carports and canopies

Solar carports at malls, hospitals and offices, cleaned early in the morning before the car park fills up.

Roof and solar questions

Is the roof treatment safe for gardens and pools?

We choose the product for the site and keep a margin around pools, water tanks and planted areas. Products are used according to their label and we protect sensitive areas before spraying.

How long before the roof looks clean?

With a slow-acting treatment, the moss dies within days and the roof clears progressively with the rain over the following weeks. A low-pressure rinse gives an immediate result if you need one.

Do you use detergent on solar panels?

No. Purified water at low pressure, and no contact with the modules. Check your panel manufacturer's cleaning guidelines; we follow them.

Have a building in Thailand that is hard to clean?

Send us a few photos, the address and the approximate height. We will tell you honestly whether a drone, a water-fed pole or a platform is the right tool, and whether your site could join the pilot program.
